Anime Weekend Atlanta 2008

Sooooo I don't have photos yet. They are all on Leo's camera. But, I thought I would say that I had a really good time at Anime Weekend Atlanta this year, and with my profits I bought my own button press - now I can make all the fanart buttons my heart desires! Bwahahahaha.

Also, Jennie Breeden and my boyfriend Leo are both super awesome. :)

Suuuuurfing!

So, I decided to go to Hawaii and visit my uncle for a week and a half. And while I was there, I mostly surfed, ate korean bbq, slept, read, listened to music, and got advice from various family members who I haven't seen in a few years.

But the best part was the surfing. Or was it the bbq? I do love food...anyways, I have no food photos. So here are some surfing photos.

I can't carry the board myself, but I can surf on it. Hah!

Anyways, I'm working on sample pages for Antarctic, and a short comic for Bob's sugar and spice anthology, and I'll be starting summer quarter on Monday. More on these projects and so forth later on!

Aaaand now I'm 22.

And now I'm 22 years old! (turned so on February 17)

It's a funny thing being another year older. I don't feel any different, physically. I feel different in my head though; I'm at a completely different place in my life this year than I was last year. A different place physically, too.

A good place, even! haha.

Return!

Well, it's been a while, huh? Here's some recent stuff

"The Other Half"

"Love Grows"ACEO's: Art Cards, Editions and Originals. These are trading cards made by artists; an inexpensive means for people to collect art. I think they're great!

Astrology, Peonies, Oracles

Heeere we go again. I just got back to Savannah from Florida, and I'm ready to get bustin' on art and so forth again. This is some stuff I finished before I left, but never ..uh...got around to posting here.

Peony Necklace. I like this one a lot - simple, and elegant, and silvery.

And some crazy astrological sign pendants. Made from brass, pierced, hammer textured, and patina'd in liver of sulfur to bring out crazy colors. I'll eventually get all of the signs done, but I just have two so far.
And after all this crazy jewelry, finally some nice drawing-type stuff.

First sales!

All right, I just posted my first two sales from my Apple Dainty Shop :D Super super exciting to actually sell things I make!

Speaking of making things, it's about time I took off the jewelry cap and put back on the drawing cap. I finished pencilling the first illustration from my Oracle Deck today. Hopefully I can go home and ink it tonight without too much interruption (or distraction), and maybe even sketch out a decent composition for the next card.

Here's the last batch of bunny jewelry and an artist's trading card (sawed from brass) that I finished two days ago, and the necklaces are now up for sale in my shop:

I do so love bunnies! But I think that's all the bunnies I have left in me. I DO have two more kitty necklaces planned, and an aries-sign necklaces for my friend for Christmas. Whew! What a crazy busy holiday season this has been.
